WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUR YOUNGER SELF

Ever  wondered   been given the chance to give an advice  to your younger  self , given the chance to travel from the future back to the past.Looking back to my younger years,I am   sometimes amazed  at   how my  life  has  turned.Nothing is exactly as I had planned, but one thing that never changed     is God,who I am and  my values.

I gathered a few things which I would love to tell my younger self :

  • You are good enough,do not give anyone the chance to make you feel otherwise.
  • Patience and persistence ultimately pay off.
  • Don;t let anyone ever tell you ,your dreams are out of reach.Only YOU know your full potential.
  • Dreams are nothing without action,Dream it then do it
  • Fear is a wolf,Chase the wolf and you will never be afraid of the things you once feared.
  • Life is called a "rat race",but remember it is a marathon and not a sprint.
  • Learn to accept the unconditional love you deserve and to give it tenfold in return.
  • Happiness is not just the most important thing in life,it is the only thing that matters.
  • Celebrate your victories in life, even the small ones.
Finally 2 Timothy 1:6-18,You received a gift from God when I placed my hands on you to ordain you.Now I am reminding you to fan that gift into flames.God didn't give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love and good judgement. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord or be ashamed of me,his prisoner. Instead,by God's power, join me in suffering for the sake of the Good news.

What would you tell your younger self ?.Please share your thoughts. Happy Independence day!!!

Yours Truly.

HAVE A GOOD SELF-IMAGE

HAVE   A   GOOD SELF-IMAGE

She stood in the mirror, admiring and saying herself."wow I look so pretty today,I cant wait to get all the attention when I step on the red carpet. To her amazement,no one really noticed her,she felt terrible and sad because she did not get the attention she was seeking.

Many of us can relate to this lady in question,we do not have a good self-image,some of us don't even realize

our worth and how we can impart our world.Let me tell you this,we will never rise above the image we have of our ourselves if we continue to wallow in self-pity and see ourselves as defeated and weak. This sets the limit in our lives, many people have low self-esteem,feel insecure, unqualified and  wonder why nothing good comes to them .

We have got to change the way we see ourselves,"I am today what I believed about myself yesterday and I will be tomorrow what I believed about myself today. If you do not like the way things are going, change what you believe in and start seeing yourself rise to new levels, believe that you are someone who is full of the light of God.

God has planted seeds of greatness in everyone of us,we have everything it takes to be great. So my dear, shake off all that worry.

You are more than a conqueror, you are well able to be what God has called you to be.The price to live a life full of victory has already been paid. This has to be at the back of your mind always, failure to do so  means you are going to miss out on everything that is yours.
Assuming you have a car,but you sitting down and burning up because, you have no idea how  the air conditioner operates, its there but sadly you have not read the manual. This applies to us as well,we don't read the manual for our lives, the Holy Bible. The Bible tells us that we were created in the image of God and we have been crowned with Glory,we are His most priced asset.

This tells us of the power we carry,we have been approved and accepted,we are His special treasure. All we need to do is to re -program our minds and stay positive.

It does not matter what you go through,God does not focus  on our failures. He has confidence in us,He will make you the person you want to be.
Even in the natural, when someone has confidence in us,it motivates us to have confidence in ourselves.
If you knew how God believes in you and how He sees you,you won;t shirk, you will rise to new levels with boldness, confidence and nothing will stop you from fulfilling your destiny.
Change your thinking,do not live in mediocrity.

Enlarge your vision Yours truly.

MY SALVATION STORY

I was  born into a Christian family by God's grace. My parents left no stone unturned to bring me up in a way that was pleasing to God.

Growing up,I would describe myself as  a go getter, adventurous and full of charisma.I was willing to take part in all activities in church and school as well,a disappointed Sally would cry whenever she was not allowed to take part in such activities.

Fast forward to my teenage years, that was when I was around fifteen years old,i became very quiet and reserved,my friends would testify to this,I only talk when am really close to you or have become familiar for quite some time.I was busy preparing for my Basic Education Certificate Examination, and we had a lot of examinations to write,we wrote exams every other week,I only had two weeks to rest before the final exams, actually I did not learn that week.

By God's grace I had aggregate six(06),to my parents and siblings, it was a very good performance, but I was not satisfied within me simply because I did not get one in all the ten subjects we wrote.
I did not get my first choice school that is Holy Child Secondary School,I had Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School and to be honest with you I am glad I attended that school,it is one of the best schools in Ghana.

I could have gone to Holy Child School, because my parents and other relatives put in much efforts to enable me get admission to Holy  Child ,it taught me to trust in God with all my heart.

My secondary school and tertiary days gave me a deeper understanding of how life is.I made mistakes,i failed some papers,i got disappointed,I cried,I was confused, worried,I was not happy. I did not understand everything did not go as  planned,I was wondering where all these trials and predicaments were from, moreover I was a child of God,so failure was not my portion at all.I blamed God for everything,I did not understand. My parents were very supportive, they showed love, gave me encouragement not to give up.

God never left me,even when I always blamed Him,this reminds me of a verse in the Bible that says There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it(1 Corinthians 10:13).

I had the opportunity to attend one of Bishop Dag- Heward Mills' Healing Jesus Campaign organized on Campus. I thought going to church automatically made you a Christian, but i was wrong, one must accept Jesus as his personal Saviour and have a relationship with him, there was altar call, and I moved up stage to give my life to Christ.I felt an inner peace within me,something i had never felt before.
By God's grace,I am still hidden in Him alone, even though trials and worries of life come my way,Christ is enough for me,so I will rejoice always.
I am a product of Grace.

But by the grace of God ,I am what I am  and His grace to me was not without effect. No I worked harder than all of them yet not i but by the grace of God that was with me(I Corinthians 15:10).

Yours Truly
